Paul Zahara

In his career of over 35 years in property and finance related roles, Paul has experience from operational to board level positions giving him a unique perspective on the property and finance industries.

Paul has been Chief Executive Officer for a property funds management and development company with up to 9 different funds and projects in most Australian States. The funds included development funds, investment funds and mortgage funds. He was responsible for all aspects of strategy, compliance and operations.

Prior to that, he was a director of a Funds Management company with over $850 million in development projects under management. He was responsible for strategic direction, fund raising, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and compliance. Projects included infrastructure, retail, residential and commercial facilities across Australia.

He is a qualified land economist and has experience in many countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam. He also has a part time position as Senior Lecturer in Market and Risk Analysis in the Masters of Property Development program at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has held voluntary board positions in a local orchestra, sporting groups and a not for profit organisation promoting corporate social responsibility.

In many countries and across a wide variety of market conditions and cycles, Paul has added value to property projects and property financing through a consistent interest in identifying, measuring and managing risk. Whether working on the property side of the fence, or on the financing side of the fence he has demonstrated a dedication to the highest professional standards and a commitment to protecting his clients’ interests.
